In the previous blog post I wrote, I promised that I will create a separate article related to AVPD, avoidant personality disorder.
This type of a personality issue is recognized by extreme sensitivity to criticism and rejection, together with social anxiety, as well as feeling of not belogning anywhere entirely.
AVPD is different from a lone wolf personality because people with avoidant disorder want to spend time with others and socialize, but don’t know how to do it in a healthy way.
People with AVPD often avoid meeting new people and enjoying new activities in life because they think they could get embarassed. Another issue is that they also live in a constant feeling of being judged.
When they have a serious relationship with someone, they don’t like making it deeper because their fear of rejection in the future wants to hold in on a ”secure basis” where they ”can’t get hurt”.
