Healing can feel like this as well

Healing isn’t linear and it can look differently from time to time. Yet, that doesn’t mean that you aren’t on the right path.

  1. You feel more alone. Feeling more lonely the healthier you get is a common situation for many people in the self improvement process. I read somewhere that the better you become, the more ”friends” you will lose in life. Actually, people often cannot cope with those who are working on themselves because many are just searching for people who are on the same level as them. Don’t be afraid – solitude is amazing and will bring you numerous truths about life.
  2. You may miss the chaos. For those who haven’t been in calm state most of their lives, you may start to miss the chaos because calmness feels unknown. Don’t fall on this trap and try to escape repeating the same mistakes you did in the past.
  3. Love and relationships. You may also need to grieve and get over the relationships which only functioned when you stayed small.
  4. Setting boundaries. Feeling guilty while setting healthy boundaries in life is usually found within empaths. I just wanted to remind you why setting boundaries with others is crucial for the quality of your life.
  5. Feeling it all at once. There will come a moment when you’ll start wondering if your situation is going worse because you are feeling it all at once. It’s your body being ready to process the emotions – trust the process.
  6. +Coping mechanisms. You may start to miss some of your old habits you’ve used to cope. Now, you know that they are unhealthy and damaging on the long-term. Stay on the right track – even if you make a mistake and make a step behind, just continue and don’t stress about it.
