Signs of loneliness & the need of a healthy community

Let’s make a list of the most common signs that represent loneliness and craving to find a healthy community to leave with.

Many of you, bereaved parents, will find yourself very lonely and misunderstood on your grieving journey. Unfortunately, that may even be a normal part of grief & loss.

How to know if your loneliness is becoming bigger and stronger? Some of the most common signs that you feel excluded from your environment and society.

  1. Oversharing. You are willing to overshare a lot of private things with a complete stranger, if they are willing to listen as well. This means that you are craving to have someone who will listen to you and understand your feelings. When you overshare, later you may feel embarassed and overthink why you did it in the first place. Overall, it’s a negative feeling.
  2. Feeling insecure around relationships. You have a feeling that something is constantly wrong within any of your relationships. You don’t feel relaxed around people and feel like you cannot be yourself because you don’t belong there. Let’s remind ourselves that people can be lonely even when surrounded by others. This is because you don’t feel like you belong there, and that they understand you and value your authentic self.
  3. Believing everyone is hanging out with each other much more than with you. You start thinking that everyone gets along better together, than with you. You believe they all spend a lot of time together and have fun.
  4. Being nice to others, even if you don’t feel like it. Because you are very lonely, you will try to hang out with literally anyone, despite the fact that you may not even like them or want them.
  5. Chatting with AI a bit too much. Chat GPT has became your new best friend. You started chatting with it on a daily basis.
