Sometimes, healing can look like this as well

For many times, I’ve already said that the grief journey isn’t linear, especially healing.

In this article, I will remind you that healing can sometimes look a bit different than expected, and that is completely okay – as long as you don’t give up entirely.

Sometimes, it is 100% fine to experience this and feel these ways:

  1. Something from the past occurring once again. You will either find yourself crying over the same situation or worrying about something, even you thought that you are over it.
  2. Setting a boundary may not be that easy. Let’s say that you will probably have to set a boundary more than once, if you want to stick up with it. That is fine – don’t give up, despite the fact that it may happen that you set a healthy boundary and then think about it for the 2 next days. Remind yourself why boundaries are so important for your mental health.
  3. Good and bad days. Let’s say that you’ve been having a few amazing days. Yet, you woke up this morning feeling completely opposite. Don’t force yourself to be constantly strong and in the good mood.
  4. Questioning yourself. Sometimes, you will find yourself questioning your own thoughts and actions, even when you are 100% sure that you’ve done the right thing.
  5. That one same mistake you are repeating. Some mistakes can occur as long as we don’t learn the lesson. When is the lesson learned? Once we realize what has to be changed with a purpose to solve a conflict or a problem.
