We, people, usually take a lot of care about our physical health, but when it comes to mental health, we tend to neglect it.
If you have recently been through hard times and feel overwhelmed and not like yourself anymore, maybe your mental health status has dropped without even realizing it.
If you want to stay healthy and mentally stable, watch out for these signs. They show that your mental health well being is not so good:
1. Sudden emotional outbursts. They are mostly about anger, sadness, or frustration.
2. Your new ‘’hobbies’’ are risky. Maybe you have started drinking, gambling, driving fast, or even taking drugs. These are alarming signs that your mental health status is dropping. You may also feel that you need at least some addiction to get through the day in an easier manner. This is probably even a survival mode technique.
3. Cancelling plans non-stop. You promise your friends to hang out and have fun, but when it is time to meet them, you always cancel the plans. You have started canceling literally everything, even those events that once made you happy and fulfilled.
4. Messy living space. You don’t clean your home anymore and don’t care how messy your living space can get.
5. No plans for the future. You cannot see your future, don’t make any plans anymore, or see it completely black.
+ Easily triggered. When your mental health status is decreasing, you will feel frustrated and angry even about the smallest things you don’t like.
Some other signs can be insomnia, oversleeping, or even losing your sexual drive - low libido.
