There are obviously a lot of things we do due to anxiety, but there are some that are usually dismissed.
Take a look at these habits and ask yourself if they are coming from your anxiety:
- Noticing the things others don’t – and worrying about them. We already covered different topics related to overthinking, which you can read more about here.
- Being too nice to everyone, even when they don’t give back the same. I know you are kind hearted, but are you people pleasing?
- Even when you know you’re capable of something, you don’t believe you’ll succeed.
- Your mistakes seem unacceptable. While the same mistakes others do, don’t feel that bad. You are too hard on yourself.
- Making worst case scenarios in your head. Constantly imagining the worst case scenarios in your head, so you “are prepared”. Try imagining the best case scenarios too – trust me, this is a life changer!
- Waiting until the last minute to start or finish a project. You procrastinate all the time, even for the smallest tasks.
Have you recognized yourself in some of the statements above?
