Let’s see what brings us more life energy on a daily basis, and what are those things we should escape with a purpose to live a better, easier, and more fulfilled life.
On our website, we already wrote about how difficult and heavy a burnout can be. We also shared some useful tips on how you can overcome it.
After that, we also wrote about boreout, which you can check more about in this article.
Today, I am doing something different and creating a list of energy givers, as well as energy takers.
What brings us more energy on a daily basis? This is my list:
- Sunlight. It’s no secret that spending time outdoor can lift your mood up. Get that natural vitamin D and improve your energy! ๐
- Enjoying a physical activity. It can either be riding a bike or playing soccer with your friends. Serotonin and dopamine are guaranteed.โฝ
- Food you like. Not only the food you love, but also the food that nourishes your body. ๐ฅ
- Music. Music that connects with your emotions can feel like talking to a friend. Create your best playlist today!๐ช
- Practice deep breathing. ๐โโ๏ธThis can instantly calm you down, which is especially important to learn if you are experiencing panic attacks.
- Connect with others. Love and intimacy is always healing. ๐ Find some time to cuddle.
- Doing something good for yourself. It doesn’t have to be anything big, but your body knows when you are taking care of it and it will definitely appreciate it.๐
- Thinking positive. Positive affirmations – try to practice them on a daily basis. At least try to imagine the best case scenario too, not just the worst one.
- Art. Express your feelings through art – explore our section and get some inspiration! ๐จ
- Trying to live right here, right now. Living in the present moment is the best.
Okay, now that our list of energy givers is ready, let’s take a look at the energy takes.
Be aware of these:
- People pleasing. It’s a must to at least try to overcome people pleasing, because believe me – people are never pleased!
- Doom scrolling. ๐ดSpending too much time scrolling and screen time in general can take your overall daily energy. See how you can escape it in this article.
- Overthinking. Have troubles overthinking? I hope these tips can be useful.
- Clutter. A messy household can take our energy without even noticing it. That’s why more and more people are decluttering and turning to a minimalist life.
- Overworking. As mentioned already, this can lead to a burnout syndrome, which can be very difficult to recover from.
- Sitting too much and for too long. Couch potato life will make you even more tired…
- Living on autopilot mode. Try to find at least a few moments in a day where you will be aware and try to enjoy them. ๐ผ
- Living in the past. It’s not strange for us, bereaved parents, to live in the past. Yet, I must mention that it’s a true energy taker.
- Setting unrealistic goals. Go small and celebrate all the wins.
Would you like to add something else to my energy taker list?
I’ve left some space so you can write down your biggest energy taker, and I will put it on my number 10!
