Small changes to simplify your daily life

When life gets overwhelming, and it can happen especially during the grief journey, I would always recommend this.

Let’s take a look at simple yet effective ways to make your life simpler. This can be very helpful when you are dealing with hard feelings and prolonged sense of sadness.

This is what worked for me the best:

  1. Scheduling your sleep. It’s no secret your sleeping routine can become a bit messy in the grieving process. I would highly suggest that you make sleeping a priority and help your body rest in the best possible manner. This can happen if you go to bed before 11 p.m. because that is when your body starts recovering naturally. Waking up at least a bit earlier can also help you to avoid stress and do all those tasks slower. When you slow down, your nervous system becomes regulated.
  2. Minimize non important daily choices. That can be literally anything, from simplifying your wardrobe and getting a rail instead, from preparing the same healthy meals. Your mind is already loaded with tons of thoughts, so it’s always recommended to help it get rid of a heavy load of choices. We will do that by removing non important ones.
  3. Stop wasting your time for the things that additionally make you feel even worse. Declutter everything you can, but mostly focus on tech and online life.   4. Creating habits and routines you can rely on. Daily basis that is clean and healthy will help you a lot. If you don’t create a routine and stick to it, you’ll probably feel lost and like losing control over your emotions.
  5. Alone time is very important. I have already wrote about lone wolf personality. You don’t have to be completely into the solitude to realize its benefits. This way, you will have enough time to reflect on what you need to change in your life.
